The Next Generation Virgo Cluster Survey (NGVS) is a  state-of-the-art optical imaging survey of the Virgo cluster, the largest collection of galaxies in the nearby universe and the dominant mass concentration within ~ 30 Mpc. This CFHT Large Program, carried out with the MegaCam instrument on the 3.6m Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, has produced nearly 50 refereed publications to date and has changed our view of this iconic galaxy cluster.
